Sunday, September 28, 2014, is a historical date to remember for both the Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego County, Incorporated (PNASD) and for the Philippine Nurses Association of South Riverside County (PNASRC) because it paves the way to the very first sub-chapter meeting for the organization. The meeting was held at Inn Churon Winery in Temecula, California. The serene landscape and the beautiful room was full of enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic nurses ready to make this dream a reality. The PNASD team led by Dr. Merlie Ramira, President, Vivian Sanderlin, President-elect, the Board of Directors, Cece Echon, Chona Lutap, Vickie Berbano, Vivian Sanderlin, Maria Camilon and Tessie Porciuncula were excited to make this meeting a success. Cece, Chona, and Vickie have been instrumental in spearheading this great idea several years ago. Topics discussed were PNASD’s mission, vision, and goals along with the By-Laws, membership benefits, criteria and process, on becoming a sub-chapter. Dr. Ramira signed the letter of acceptance followed with congratulatory wishes and momentous photo sessions.
