Candidate’s Statement of Philosophy and Intent

Current and active member of PNASD/PNAA since 2002 and has been committee members in both local and national level. Currently, I am the President of Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego County, Inc., and Vice-Chair of Education, PNAA Western Region and has been nominated as RVP for the PNAA Western Region.

As we all know, PNAA faces lots of challenges ahead of her, as well as opportunities. One opportunity that I would like to focus with as a PNAA regional leader is to ensure that members are recognized and appreciated. I believe that if we continue to recognize, praise, inspire, and reward our members for their contributions, we will attract and increase our membership. If members our satisfied and contented and believe in the organization, they will be encouraged and motivated to do more. They will serve as our marketing team to entice and recruit new members. As a future leader of PNAA, I will support an environment in which members feel important and appreciated.

Perhaps because of the many challenges our organization faces, the nursing profession, and the healthcare community, there is no better time to be involved in members’ mentoring and engagement. As leaders, we play a significant role to mentor our members and prepare them to be our future leaders to face the changes that inevitably will challenge us all in the years ahead. We seek new members, new faces, and new PNAA leaders who will continue to promote the PNAA vision and mission.

I am deeply honored and most privileged to have been nominated for the position of RVP, PNAA Western Region, 2016-2018. If elected I will devote myself to these causes and work passionately for the betterment of the members of PNAA.

“First and Foremost, Let us appreciate our Members!”

Thank you very much!
