Candidate’s Statement of Philosophy and Intent

I believe and practice the mission of the PNAA. Since 2002 when I founded the Essex County Sub-chapter of PNA New Jersey, it has been a non-stop journey of promoting the welfare of the Filipino-American nurse; and embracing its goals as my own personal goals.

I have contributed and promoted the attainment of the goals of the PNAA:

  • As President 2008-2010 of PNANJ, these goals were achieved; membership was increased to over 1000, and educational conferences offered all year-round to all the members, totaling 140 contact hours.

  • I have supported and promoted the community projects of the PNAA in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate. I have served as member of the Board of Directors  to many local organizations, and served as President of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of New Jersey, wherein the organization continues to serve and promote the Iskolar ng Bayan,

  • Through the Legislative and Human Rights committee, I have created policies and collaborated in press releases of very important issues affecting nurses in the USA and in the Philippines.

  • I also served as Chair of Communications and Marketing Committee, Editor-in-Chief  of the online newsletter, Inside PNAA, and awarded the MVP award in 2013.

  • As Regional Vice President for the Eastern Region, I helped lead, empower, and transform nurses and nursing, in the continued attainment and fulfillment of the PNAA mission.

  • I have the experience, qualifications, and passion to serve and advocate for the PNAA members, and I’m running on the platform of promoting and advocating for the welfare of the members first, before any other interests.

I hope you will make a very informed choice.
