Candidate’s Statement of Philosophy and Intent

Based on the recommendations as outlined in the Future of Nursing Report, I am committed to take an active role in helping PNAA to identify and prioritize opportunities for our nurses to be in the forefront, may it be in education, leadership and practice. We need to mobilize the skills and capacities of our Filipino-American nurses and be recognized as one, solid ethnic diversity group in improving the health and health systems in the United States. I am already serving in the elite group of nurses in Florida; and I am passionate with my desire to encourage, develop or mentor other Filipino-American nurses to join the ranks. If I get elected as a Board Member, I can participate in the intellectual discourse of the Executive Board; and I will be able to perform any leadership function that will be designated on me by the EB.
