Candidate’s Statement of Philosophy and Intent

Having served as a Chapter President, Regional COP Forum Leader, Member – PNAA Membership & Website Committees, PNAA Asst. Treasurer & Membership Committee Chair, PNAA Board of Director and, currently, as the NCR Regional VP – I could truthfully say that I’ve taken the “slow track” to get to the leadership position I have now.  This “slow track” had allowed me to thoroughly learn the processes within PNAA, to improve my leadership skills and share my talents as well, to develop relationships with past & present PNAA leaders and members and, most importantly, to acquire numerous friends whose friendships I treasure and will last me a lifetime!

I “discovered” PNAA when my family moved to Ohio 16 years ago.  From the very beginning, I had complete belief in the missions of the organization.  This belief compelled me to get engaged and my commitment to the organization strengthened through the years.  Akin to a marriage – once I commit, I “give my all” to what I commit to.  To me, anything less than 100% commitment is not good enough.  I feel it’s a disservice to the organization if, for one reason or another, I could only serve it half-heartedly.  My decision to run for a second term as RVP is based on the premise that I will have adequate time, energy & resources to do the job again with efficiency in the next two years.

During my term as NCR RVP – we’ve done a lot of innovative things (see listings in PNAA/Chapter Profile section) to make the region stronger with focus on member services & community services.  A lot of “firsts” were accomplished by our “NCR Team” and I look forward to continuing what we’ve started if I get re-elected.  I’ll continue advocating for our members as “membership truly is the lifeblood of our organization”!
